Teaching and public engagement

I have taught on a variety of different undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at HE level both within and out with Psychology across the central belt of Scotland, including The University of Edinburgh, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Glasgow Caledonian University, University of the West of Scotland, and Academy of Music and Sound (FE). I am currently developing new Music Psychology courses which I aim to run for adult learners in 2019 in Glasgow.

I also give talks at different public engagement events, and was a national finalist at FameLab UK 2014/2015, the inaugural Glasgow Caledonian University ‘Three Minute Thesis’ competition in 2015, and in a talk to the public in bar, re-starting Beltane Network ‘PhD in an Hour’ series (2016).

In 2017, I was involved in a number of widening participation events, working with children, including I’m a Scientist, Get Me Out of Here. I also volunteer at the Glasgow Science Festival.

My work has been used to bring about changes in public, private, and third (charity) sector organisations. If you have benefited from any of my work, please email me to let me know about it.
